Additionally, American literature contains some of the most influential and persuasive rhetoric the world has ever seen. By analyzing the technical aspects of famous American poetry, essays, short stories and novels, we learn how to improve our own rhetoric in these same areas.

Students who diligently study great works of American literature will gain a deeper sense of the human condition, the American character and their own lives. They will also be more prepared to influence each of these in the future.

This course has four sections, roughly one month each. These are the questions we ask when studying this subject.
